LEARNING TO BREATHE

I know how it feels to be left alone, how it hurts to be betrayed, I know the smell of hatred and the touched by sadness, simply because I’ve tasted them all. Not once, not twice, but more than I care to think about.
My ears heard the sound of silence for so long, as if it never wanted to leave. That’s when I learned to breathe. I breathed out the pain and breathe in a fresh breath of positivity. A positivity that only I can offer to myself.

Rather expecting someone to lift me up, I lift myself up and it brings out the best in me. I create my own happiness and I utilize my greatest efforts to be a better person and if that means living a solo life in silence, then so be it. At least I’ll be a happy soul.

Today I choose to breathe in my hard work and breathe the blessings I’ve been given. Breathing has work out well for me because it makes you stop and think clearly. It’s good therapy for the mind, body and spirit.
